Draw: Complete Vessels
Laser projectors are unable to fully illuminate the interior of whole vessels, which means that capturing the complete inner profile in a single scan is not possible.
To address this challenge, a combination of techniques is employed. First, multiple segments of the vessel's profile are captured separately and then joined together to create a complete representation of the exterior shape. Once the full outer profile is reconstructed, the Hollow Out tool is used to digitally simulate and reconstruct the inner volume of the vessel.
Initial Profile Capture
- Enter Capture Detail (
) mode.
- Capture one side of the vessel.
- Switch again to Capture Detail and capture the second profile from a different side.
Alignment and Trimming
- Align the two profile details manually.
- Use the Trim Profile (
) tool to remove unneeded parts.

Set Details to Filled
- Select both captured details.
- Mark them as filled (
) to prepare for tracing.

Trace and Correct the Profile
- Select both details and go to Trace Mode (
).
- The software auto-detects the threshold and selects the drawing.
- Use Erase (
) and Paint (
) tools to manually fix missing profile areas, remove or touch up unwanted elements.

Extract Final Profile
- After editing, extract the vessel using the Extract Profile (
).
- Delete the temporary detail images used for profile construction.

Hollowing and Finishing
- Select the profile and apply Hollow Out Profile (
)
- Adjust wall thickness as needed.
- Use eraser and paint tools again for final retouching if needed.

- Manually mark the rim and bottom points (important for whole vessels).
- Adjust orientation as needed to reflect asymmetry.
- Capture Diameter of the vessel.
