Draw: Diameter, Lids and Bottoms
LAP allows capturing rim fragments, bottom fragments, and lids. These fragment types require careful handling of diameter, rim point, and bottom point.
Capturing Diameter
For diameter capture, follow the standard procedure described in the Diameter Capture section.
Editing Diameter Points
- After capturing the diameter, select the point where the diameter was captured.
- Use Edit Diameter Point (
) to redefine its location if needed.
Rim and Bottom Points
LAP automatically sets rim and bottom points based on the highest/lowest Y coordinates. Points can be manually edited:
- Use Edit Rim Point (
) and Edit Bottom Point (
) functions.
- Adjusting these points cleans up the drawing reconstruction (removes unwanted breaklines).
Lid Fragments
The bottom point defines where the radius and diameter are measured. Lid fragments are processed using the same tools and editing options as other fragment types.
Manual Diameter Entry
The diameter can also be entered manually when needed.
- First, clear the existing diameter using Delete / Clear Diameter.
- Go to Edit / Manually Set Diameter.
- The value is applied to the current rim point.
- To change the reference position, adjust the rim point, and the diameter updates accordingly.
