Switch to Adjust RTI Image mode to prepare the sample image.

Adjust RTI Image |
The ring lights cycle automatically, illuminating the sample from different directions. The software combines the captured images into a continuously updated preview.
Positioning the Sample
Place the sample on the glass pane. Use a white background for dark samples and a black background for light ones to help separate the sample from the background.
ℹ️ Note: Keep the sample completely still during capture. Movement between individual lighting stages will cause misalignment or visible artifacts in the resulting image.
Software Settings
Adjust the capture settings to produce a clear image with an accurate mask around the sample.
- Adjust Exposure until the sample is clearly visible without overexposed areas.
- Click Auto WB to set the white balance and reproduce the sample colors accurately.
- Adjust Threshold until the outline follows the sample edge.
- Use Auto Smooth to improve the mask boundary.
- Adjust Gamma Correction to lighten or darken midtones and make surface details easier to see.
- Use Reduce Resolution to reduce the file size of the captured image.

Capturing the Image
Click Capture to capture the combined image. The software switches to the RTI visualization controls, where you can adjust the virtual lighting and surface detail enhancement.
